Overview 

Empower Projects is currently in the process of initiating school and cooperative projects in the Ntchisi District of Malawi. Scoping, which was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Trade and the Department of Education, enabled us to identify a rural region that is not currently being assisted by other NGOs.

Schools 

We have identified Kamwendo Primary School as our first partner school in the region. The school was constructed by community members in response to a dire need for an additional primary school in the region.

The school has an enrolment of 368 students, and 4 teachers teaching Standard 1-3. We hope to initiate work at this school in Q2 2024 with our usual emphasis on essentials such as food, water, sanitation, and electricity.

Cooperatives

We are currently evaluating agricultural cooperatives in the region.
